Prof. Vatta visited RIHN!!

Prof. Kamal Vatta of Punjab Agricultural University (India) visited Japan from India and stayed at RIHN from November 2 to 8, 2022.

Prof. Vatta’s field of expertise is agricultural economics, and his focus is on the management and utilization of crop residues and alternative options to avoid burning rice straws.
Although his visit was delayed due to COVID19 pandemic, he finally came to Japan, and we were able to have a fruitful discussion with core members.

On Monday, November 7, we held the Aakash Seminar (hybrid), a lecture in the lecture room at RIHN. It was a very meaningful time with participants from Japan also abroad, as well as non-members.

During his stay in Kyoto, he had a good time interacting with researchers outside of our project at RIHN. He also held a seminar at Kobe University on November 3.
