RSSJ Young Researcher Award from the Remote Sensing Society of Japan

Ms. Kaho NITTA, a graduate of Nara Women’s University, has received the “RSSJ Young Researcher Award” from the Remote Sensing Society of Japan (RSSJ) for the following paper:

Intercomparison of Tropospheric Nitrogen Dioxide over Indian Subcontinent Observed by TROPOMI and OMI

Prof. Hayashida (RIHN Visiting Professor), former Aakash project leader, was Ms. NITTA’s supervisor until she graduated from Nara Women’s University in March 2021.
This paper is one of the achievements of mission DELHIS.
The award ceremony was held on June 1, 2023, at the 74th Annual Conference at the Nihon University College.

In addition, Prof. HAYASHIDA chaired as president of the RSSJ from July 2020 to May 2022 and received the FY2023 RSSJ Distinguished Service Award at the same ceremony.

Aakash Project WG2 members exhibited at the poster session on the second day of the 74th Annual Conference.
